FOCUS OF THE WEBINAR

This webinar examines the strategic and practical dimensions of strengthening research capacity in TVET, highlighting its role in driving evidence-based innovation and institutional impact. It reflects the following SDGs:

  • SDG 4: Quality Education - enhancing the generation and use of research to inform curriculum, teaching, and learning strategies.
  • SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth - producing labor market insights and research-informed approaches that improve workforce readiness and employability.
  • SDG 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure - fostering institutional research systems and partnerships that support applied innovation and knowledge transfer.
  • SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities - promoting inclusive research practices that address diverse learners’ needs and ensure equitable access to knowledge and opportunities.
  • SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals - strengthening collaboration among TVET institutions, industry, and policymakers to maximize research impact.

Discussions will explore research culture development, priority-setting, methodology design, evidence translation, and dissemination strategies. Participants will gain practical insights, tools, and frameworks to enhance research capacity and leverage findings for policy, institutional improvement, and transformative TVET practices.
