Objectives

The participants are expected to:

  • Identify the key components of a national TVET policy;
  • Gain insights into the best practices in the well-established TVET systems in other, regions;
  • Appreciate the need and importance of a national TVET policy;
  • Identify best practices in TVET quality assurance systems and frameworks of member countries;
  • Formulate a draft of the national policy on TVET of the Maldives, along with the national framework for TVET
  • Develop an action plan to prepare the final draft of the national TVET Policy and I framework.

The delivery of the program design shall follow a spiral learning approach, beginning with an overview of core concepts and followed by progressively deeper application of the concepts and finally, a self-directed learning approach through action planning.

National Seminar

Another important part of the program is the conduct of the half day National Seminar on "Innovative Practices and Strategies for improving capacity of the TVET Systems in Maldives" which will be participated by In-Country Program participants, TVET Authority officials, MQA Officials, administrators, faculty members, media, public relations officers in both public and private sectors and other interested participants.
